Sent Gmail from phone showing in inbox

When I send an email from my Gmail app on my Hero, the sent message shows up in my inbox by 'me' in the Gmail account I sent it from...any ideas why?
 
Well thanks for the reply! It does seem a bit odd, because if it's set up using IMAP, that sent email should only be shown under 'sent' items. I'm sure there is an easy fix for it, but I have yet to find it!

Anyone know how to correct this?
