Help Serendipity 6.2 problem

I have loaded Serendipity 6.2 on my cappy and now the backlights for the buttons on the bottom of my phone stay on all the time, eating up the battery. Anyone else experience this? I couldn't find a setting to turn them off or set a timeout for them. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
