Root Serendity 6.3 issue with incoming calls

I flashed Serendipity 6.3 last week and finally notice that I'm not receiving any calls. The ringtone starts for a brief second and then stops. Upon testing via calling from another phone and watching, I see the force close window pop up briefly. Anyone else having this issue?

Thats odd,
I been using 6.3 for a couple weeks now and everything has been flawless.

Whats that force close screen say when it comes up?
Did you delete any of the google talk service apps?

my serendipity is flawless as well.
did you restore any settings using any backup applications?
or has this been a problem ever since you flashed it?

I actually decided to flash to cog 4.3 rather than try to figure it out. There were some threads over on xda that had suggestions but I wasn't in love with serendipity anyway so I just decided to go back to cog.

Actually This problem is really simple to fix, first of all if you're using a backup (titanium backup) chances are something is corrupt. (I experienced this) best thing to do is just do a factory reset and you'll be good.

When you mean do a factory reset, do you mean the "Factory data reset" option that appears in the "Privacy" section in settings?

I ask this as I am having the same issue in my Captivate.:( I recently flashed the KF1 Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM and restored apps and data using "Titanium Backup". I assume it also restored the phone app.

[Update]: Tried it. It now works. :D Thanks. ;) At least I don't have to reflash my ROM.:p Though i have to go through the entire Titanum backup process again.

BTW should i avoid restoring any system app using titanium?
