SERIOUS Battery problems

Scoutamis

Lurker
OK so I have had my phone since August of 2011 and I have had major battery issues since. Like 3 hours on screen time Max. I have had the phone and battery replaced 3 times. Apparently my batteries warranty expired in January (which makes no sense it should be a year) so I can't get a new battery. The problem that I am facing is that it goes down 1% about every 30 seconds. And 1% about every minute and a half with the screen off. I am running cm9 nightly 5/13 with the latest kernel (not UCLE2). Does anyone have ANY advice for me? Because I have three batteries total and not even that can get me thru the day. Thanks

Yea you should most likely try this: use odin to load up the stock rom and calibrate your battery. You can find the battery calibration in the post under yours that talks about batteries draining very fast. I don't quite understand why you kept replacing the batteries because it is very likely that there is something wrong with the phone its self. When you load stock rom - also update your firmware if you wish - supposedly the new one gives battery improvements but that is not for sure.

I have also replaced my phone 3 times as well....still have battery issues. And you are saying that after I calibrate my battery I have to stay on the stock rom? Or can I go back to cm9?

Try going to stock rom and recalibrating the battery. You want to try to see whether the stock rom along with the calibration will do any difference.

Oh well yea I just got my new phone and battery a month ago and it sucked right out of the box...which means its the battery not the ROM. And yes I calibrated the battery when I got the phone as well
