Hi i got a telus milestone from usedottawa a couple months back and yesterday it just automatically restarted displayed the message
Bootloader 90.74
Err: A5,00,35,2F

Battery OK
OK to Program

i read a couple forums and saw this was a issue if the phone had been rooted.. i personally did not root the phone so does this mean the previous owner definately did or is this a fluke thing?
Also i tried all the step like flashing a sbf and such but when i flash the computer tells me "Phone Failed Inital Security Check HAB error 0x8D"
is this phone bricked ... what can i do ... I NEED HELP

Thanks in advance for your time.

I googled your error and it happens to other Motorola phones when you try to flash an SBF for a different phone. Which SBF are you trying to flash, where is the SBF from? Where did you get your phone, and who is your providor?

I just realized that you didn't tell us if you could get into recovery mode or not, if you can then you could try doing a factory reset.

Also did you receive the box that the Milestone came with? Just trying to confirm that we are dealing with a Telus Milestone.

As a final option and if you feel like going for broke, you could try updating your bootloader.

You can find the update for the bootloader on the same page you posted above.
