Serious S3 help needed.

Recently my S3 LCD cracked and nothing is being displayed.
I wanna backup my phone using kies but I have to change the connection mode to media device.
So i wonder is there any idea to change the connection mode any other way?

Welcome to the forum. Have you ever turned on "usb debugging" in developer options before this happened?
If not im sorry but i dont think theres anything you can do

I doubt so man.
Damn, i guess the only way is to repair my LCD?

I think so mate. Not tryin to be arsey but the display on the s3 is LED not LCD, just incase you get ripped off when buying one :beer:

To back up in Kies, I don't think you need debugging mode on.

Does the touchscreen work - can you touch it and have the phone respond? You might be able to change the mode blind, but it will probably require some trial and error, and you'll need some guidance from a good phone, so you know exactly where to press on the screen.
