Root Service Disabled?

Traveno

Lurker
Hey guys, so I've been a lurker here for a while and have had my Volt for quite a few months. A while back I flashed the CM12.1 rom and played with that for a while. I noticed I, including many others, lost LTE when flashing back to stock. I decided I could live with it but my signal itself died every few minutes so it began to bother me. I followed a guide where you flash CM12.1 and the APN fixes. I did that, modified the APNs, and bam my LTE kicked back from the dead. I then flashed back to stock and now my Volt won't connect to anything altogether. I have no bars with a red X. Also my lock screens says "Service Disabled." I've tried everything including: reflashing CM12.1, using several dialer codes, reflashing the APN fixes, and going back to ZV5 stock with the ZV5 radio. Also on CM12.1 since I lost my service, no matter how many times I reboot while having mobile services disabled, I cannot seem to get CM12.1 to show me the APNs anymore.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Much appreciated!

Have you tried enabling airplane mode and then disabling it and re enabling mobile networks? I can see you've tried pretty much everything but just wanted to try and help, you may have to use the LG flash tool to flash V3 and work your way back up from there..

Flash candy5.1 along with apn fix. Boot candy, setup as you normally would. Reboot to recovery, flash back to stock. Usually works. Good luck!

I've tried enabling airplane mode and fiddling with it. I also tried the reactivation code several times at several points to no avail. I decided to flash ZV3 using the LG Flash Tool following the pinned guide. Everything went smoothly but now my Volt is stuck at the LG logo portion of the boot and will not go any further. So basically, I'm clueless without a phone right now haha :(

Okay so I somehow got it to boot into MiniOS and I was able to get the phone working again. Service was still disabled until I rebooted it without my SD card inserted, and magically, after a couple seconds, I regained my service! There probably isn't much here to go off of if someone else encounters this issue but I wish them luck :) I doubt it has something to do with the SD card but who knows haha

Thanks everyone!
