Set Handent as default?

How do I change my default messaging app to handcent? I don't like getting a notification from both handcent and messaging everytime I get a message. Is there a way I can just set handcent to be the default app?

You just need to turn off notifications on the default messaging app. Open the app, go to settings and uncheck "notifications."
