i did it...

got the cajones and flashed the kernal and set the max to 1 gig (lol, didn't set it to 1.1). I'm not sure if that extra 100mhz will make much of a difference.

are there certain settings that will save battery? I remember reading there are settings that could actually improve battery performance??

You can use powersave mode in setCPU, but that will make your CPU run slow.

The battery on the nook lasts pretty much all day even with continuous usage (trust me, between me and my 3 year old, this thing pretty much runs all day)

Best thing to save battery is go through your apps and remove any auto update/notifications. Main ones being Weather, News, Facebook, Twitter, Words with friends, etc. Use a low backlight setting, for me about 30-40% is plenty even outdoors for the most part.

i upped it to 1.1ghz and ran quadrant.

ran 1075...is that good for eclair?

Thats pretty good. The most important thing is, does it work for you?

(I get 1700+ Quadrant in CM7)
