SetCPU Profile Recommendations?

No overly familiar with the effect, but I run it at the highest for use, and all other "sleep" or charging times, at the lowest. No reason to have it run higher than the minimum while charging or idle IMO. Battery life seems really great (in fact probably better since I started OC'ing).

I suggest setting that profile back to the default of >40*C.

50*C = 122*F

While the battery is rated at 140*F, there is no reason why it should go above 105-110. I've been running BB @ 1Ghz with multiple high draining apps running at the same time and have yet to be able to get it over 105*F. Thus 40*C is a pretty safe profile setting as its difficult to get above that.

How do I change the cpu maximum? I just rooted with the auto root sholes app and I downloaded the setcpu but the maximum is at 550 and I do not know how to change it lol. I am a noob I know :P

Are these ok? What should the CPU Governor be set to? I also have Temp monitor, what should I set the minimum interval to and the minimum temp notifaction to so when the temp goes above a certain limit I know?
 
hmm seems a lot have it set to 550 as the generic for the charging sleeping, mine is set low, maybe i will ramp it up a bit.

These are fairly conservative settings / doesn't drain the battery too much day/day use?
 
I dont have any profiles on, if you set it to auto detect, and set the max and minimum (250mhz-800mhz) wont the phone just scale up or sown speed based on usage automatically?

I set my max to 800, no need to go higher, it runs smooth at 800 and I dont want to ware it down to fast.
 
Anyone with some details about what actually accurs with the different CPU governer settings?

Conservative? Ondemand? Userspace? Performance?

The CPU Governor drop down box contains a list of CPU "governors" that the phone can use. Available governors will vary with your specific device and kernel. The Performance governor, called "Always Max" on previous versions of SetCPU, allows your phone to run at maximum speed, ignoring all power saving functions. The "ondemand" setting is default, and scales the phone between the maximum and minimum speeds. On some kernels, the "conservative" governor is also available. The "conservative" governor ramps up the CPU more slowly than the "ondemand" governor, leading to slower responsiveness but better battery performance.

So I guess as a conclusion, ondemand is the best one? Alright.. I have mine set to 250/800 so it goes slightly faster when its awake. But it helps.

I tired the performance setting just for dangerous giggles and the temperature started spiking to the roof. I humbly reverted back to ondemand.
