i finally rooted my phone and installed setCPU anyone know the best settings for the lg optimus s? im lost completely

There will be general guidelines on what setting your device can handle, but believe it or not each phone can vary. Some phones will run be able to run faster than others reliably due to manufacturing and assembly variations, that's just the way it is.

But first off, you must have a kernel that will support a mhz variations. ThunderRom will allow it and so will nRom, and also so will the Xionia Kernel.

I run ThunderRom with the ThunderRom kernel and have my CPU set at 787 max and 245 min, although under stress tests it will handle 806+. Long term I don't know what is best. The higher the mhz the faster your battery will drain, this I do know!

The guys over at AC they just came out with a new rom, Lego Rom. I"m backing up apps now to switch over and give it a shot.

let me know how it goes! how many roms are avail. for the optimus s? and which is by far the best one?

setcpu does work on the stock rom, i'm running it right now on my rooted optimus s. I just use the on demand scaling that way the cpu idles when i'm not using the phone.
