Help Setting a song as your ring tone

So I moved some music over to the ringtones folder but it doesn't show up when i go to settings -> sounds -> ringtone. However, when I try to set a ringtone to a contact, it works. Can anyone help with this?

to set any song that you have downloaded into your Android Nexus mobile as a ringtone:
1. Connect your phone to your computer with a usb cord that was included in your purchase kit at the time of purchasing your Nexus mobile;
2. go to your Computer from Start Menu. there you will see Removable disk folder. double click on it. next look at your mobile phone screen. it will prompt you to Turn On USB Storage. touch this prompt to activate. you will see that now your computer starts reading your mobile. wait about 5 minutes and your computer screen will open up your mobile folder.
3. select the song you want to set as your ringtone and copy it into your Ringtone folder.
4. disconnect the usb cord from the computer. Your mobile will prompt you to Turn Off USB Storage.
5. Go in your mobile settings, then Sound, then Phone ringtone. the song you selected should be there. set it as your preferred ringtone.

from your computer, do online conversion of the media file...
e.g
.mp3 to .ogg
samsung google nexus s, supports .ogg file extention to become ringtone..
just convert the media file first, then copy it to "ringtone" folder...
and enjoy...
