Setting "internet" preference for Opera Mobile

Hi all

Before I discovered Android I had a Nokia 5800 with Opera Mobile installed for browsing which I loved. On that phone under "internet" settings I could choose "opera" as my default browser and this meant I lost all the bloatware that came with my carrier's default APN Vodafone Live .. .this made for much smoother browsing experience.

With my DHD if I search via the google search app it doesn't show the bloatware in the search results page but if l I click a link it then seems to access that link via "vodafone live". If I download Opera it seems to do the same thing.

I can't seem to find a setting similar to what I was able to do on the 5800; does anyone know of a solution for this? (Hope I make sense)

Is Vodafone Live the default browser?

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> "Default Browser" -> Clear Defaults.

The next time you access something internet based, you should be given the option to choose which browser you want. Select Opera, put a tick in the little check box and you should be good to go.

Is that what you mean?
