setting pic as wallpaper??

[mted558]

I'm having a problem setting a picture for my wallpaper on my Evo. It says it's set but when I go to the main screen I have the regular wallpaper, not the picture I set. I tried with a couple different pictures that are on my SD card and did it from Menu>wallpaper>gallery>photos>pick the photo>save. but it doesn't save??? any suggestions, ideas??? Thanks for all the help.

what resolution are the pics?

1600 x 1200, how do i change the resolution if this is the problem?

I had this happen once. Not sure why it didn't stick, but a quick reboot fixed the issue. Pic size *should* be irrelevant since I think android saves a modified version (sized/cropped) to the phone's internal memory.
