Help Setting up 2 different email accounts using the same prefix

Coming to the Epic from BB Curve. I use about 5 or 6 email accts regularly. I have a verizon and yahoo email account using the same prefix. First I set the verizon one up in the android mail app. Then attempted to add the yahoo one but got an error message saying this username is already in use. Downloaded the yahoo mail app and set up my account through there. Doing this seemingly overwrote the verizon setup in android mail app with the yahoo inbox, but still displaying the verizon addy in the list of accounts. Is there any way to overcome this? Note, I did not manually enter the settings for each acct, allowed the app to discover them. Thanks.
