Help Setting up new phone

My new droid charge arrives on Friday and I was hoping to get some tips on some things I can do with it to get optimal usage. This is my first smartphone, I just upgraded from a Samsung Reality multimedia phone. Any tips, tricks, advice is welcome and greatly appreciated! :)

There's an app called lte switch on the market. It takes you straight to a menu where you can turn 4g on or back to 3g. Its good if you want to manage your battery life. I only have 4g on wen im streaming or downloading something

Switching to 3G helps with battery life if you aren't using data heavily, this is the biggest improvement when I need my battery to last.

Turn the screen brightness down, or on Auto brightness.

Buy a spare battery, I carry one all the time. Between the two I can go 20 hrs. or so with moderate usage between charging. eBay is great for it, an OEM Samsung battery runs $12-$15 shipped or less. Don't buy chinese chit.

They don't call this phone the CHARGE for nothing.. it uses some power but the data speeds in 4G are insane and the screen is beautiful!

Good luck, enjoy!

If you use a case you can also have a backup power pack(or w/e they're called) my wife uses one because taking the case on and off is an inconvenience
