Lurker
So I tried uninstalling the NHL network app, and when I did the icon was still there... and then when I went to remove app on the menu it said (when I clicked the trash can): The Linked program is no longer installed on your phone.
and it says the same thing when I click settings on the menu... what do I do?

Look in your applications list again to verify it is actually gone. If it's still there, we can go from there. Usually a reboot would fix this though.

+1 for TheAtheistReverend's suggestion.

If you cannot get into settings-Follow these instructions from Knowyourcell.com:

Turn the power off. If your HTC DROID Incredible 2 is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  1. 1. Hold the Volume Down button
  2. 2. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
  3. 3. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
  4. 4. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
  5. 5. Press and release the Power button
  6. 6. Now simply confirm: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for no.
All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC DROID Incredible 2. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

Pull the battery, wait a full minute after replacing the battery and the back cover. Press the volume down button and hold it. Press the power button for five seconds, "one-one thousand, two-one thousand..."
Release the power button only (keep the volume down button depressed).

Still nothing?

gralbrec -- did the factory reset restore the settings program correctly, or did you have to get a replacement? The same thing just happened to me today after attempting an uninstall. I'm afraid to do a factory reset, because if it doesn't reload the missing system files (and where would it do so from?), I won't be able to set up the phone at all. At least now everything works, as long as I don't need to change any settings it would be livable until I could get a replacement from VZW.
