settings - storage always showing calculating

recently my Note 2 fails to calculate storage space left on internal memory. It started after I downloaded some extra bits for SkyDemon app. I still have around 3.7gb left but if I go to settings and then storage all I see is "calculating" and it never works it out.

Any ideas?
