Hey everyone,

I was wondering what settings can I set up on my Esteem to get best performace ( lag free, smoothness fast sd card reading etc etc) at the moment I using rom #2 and I'm willing to give up battery life for performance.

My toolbox:
Rom Manager Paid
Rom Toolbox Paid
Tianium Backup Paid

You need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity that it needs. Find a group of Libyan nationalists. They'll want you to build them a bomb, so take their plutonium and, in turn, give them a shoddy bomb casing full of used pinball machine parts.

:D

In all seriousness keep apps killed, kill running services, and keep the ram as "clean" as you can. For the sd card theres apps on the market that increase the read ahead cache in the system, which I think in just about all the roms has been increased from 128kb default to 4096mb already. But you can go as high as you want really. But it can be bad for your sd cards

Dude, you beat me to it. This soooooo worked for me. Thanks Shiny for that secret info.

as shiny said, kill all useless apps, use android assistant or bombthattask for the stubborn ones, even though i killed auto start for maps, it would still boot up so bomb that task kills it. one click cache clear, yadda yadda, etc, etc.

When I run for bench mark this is usually I do.

1. Install clean Rom.

2. Increase CPU frequency to max (differ by phone. it seems like most esteem can take up to 1.8 - 2.0 GHz.)

3. Increase SD card cache to 4096

4. Kill tasks, free up memory

5. Run Bench mark
