Help Setup WiFi in I5700 Android 1.5

HI

I just bought I5700. I have wifi connection which is open and not password is set. My phone was able to search and connect to the wifi. even the symbol is showing up on the top that the wifi is connect even then i am not able to browse?

I do not have any GPRS. what i feel the phone is still using GPRS and not my phone's Wifi connection.

Please advise how to set the wifi up?

I am still running Android 1.5.

Try setting your own Static IP address, gateway, DNS servers etc.

If you don't know some of these settings:-
From your PC
Open Command (cmd) prompt. ie Start/Programs/Accessories/CMD
In the black window type
ipconfig /all
You'll find your default gateway, and DNS sever settings.
