Root SGR font behavior

I'd like to get some more insight on the behavior of fonts on the SGR.

I would like to install some fonts that are .apk files -- but where do these go when they are installed, so I can remove them if I end up not liking them? No sense in taking up room with stuff I'm not using.

I saw in another thread that they could go on the SDcard in the Fonts folder, but if I do that then what format do they have to be in? .ttf or something else? The article didn't say.

Thanks!

Yes they have to be in .TTF which is androids default format.
If you look at all the original fonts they are .TTF and yes just place them in the fonts folder.
Not sure how you would use a .apk for font installation.

someone on a different forum put a bunch of fonts in .apk wrappers for easy installation. That's the only reason for that, so far as I know.

Oh okay
Well I though it was like 'font'.apk
Where the font would have an apk extension instead of the ttf but I guess he packages them into the apk.
I guess it could work.
