This is really simple . If you don't want to flash a kernel through odin and you have a galaxy s phone follow this tutorial.
Back up your previous Kernel! I can't STRESS THIS ENOUGH
step 1 download sgs kernel from the market. (yes you need root access.)
step 2.Browse to SGS KERNEL
step 3. You also need to make sure that your kernel is placed on the root of your internal sd card before going to step 4!
step 4. the rest should be self explanatory . Browse to your kernel , after that select "flash kernel". From there you will see lines of code blah bla blah.... Congratulations you've just flashed a kernel.
