SGS2 1.4 Ghz

I read in some other forums/sites that theres a rumor flying around that Samsung will release a newer version of the SGS2 that has 1.4ghz. I just want to know is all this are true. Thanks :)
 
Are you fed up of not being able to fry bacon on your phone? Well, Samsung has something for you. Try the new SGS2 1.4GHz, it's a phone and frying pan in one.

I have to say, my phone is quick enough as it is. English people talk about money burning a hole in your pocket (for non-native English speakers that means that someone can't wait to spend some money that they have) but I don't want my phone literally burning a hole in my pocket thanks.
 
Haha :) I can honestly say that I have never had a heat problem on my phone, even when running it at 1.4.
 
lol. yeah. if its the same thing n just overclocked, the heats not gonna be fun. although mine is doing good with the heating problem after a firmware upgrade, it gets slightly warm but cools off completely without me doing anything.. glad about that

The sgs2 mini is being released with a 3.7 inch screen and a single core 1.4ghz cpu. Maybe this is what your thinking of.
 
I read that it's not a different phone, but the specs have been beefed up in response to leaks about the upcoming iphone 5 (which is in itself, speculative).

I think it would be nice for the US release to beef it up to 1.4, include LTE and NFC.

Of course, I'm just dreaming. :)

Oh, and an LED notifier please!
 
Given the timeframe it should have 4g (LTE) by then.
I'm considering arranging to have a piece of Onyx cut to replace my home key which is plastic and doesn't match the GGlass, I feel like I'm going to break it, they should change the homekey in the update.

I'm also going to hold off buying a battery and see if the new SII gets a better one that will fit our phones.

Nope. That's old news on Galaxy S2 mini. The OP is indeed referring to new improved version of Galaxy S2 plus. See this.

Two different phones are being discussed here... The S2 mini is not what the OP was on about :p

Also you dont need OC kernals to overclock if you use Tegrak ;)
 
It's almost inevitable. :p that the 1.4Ghz one will be for the US....but it's SO pointless. You won't see any real speed improvements increasing 0.2Ghz, when going from a dual core to a dual core. :p

It's annoying because the Galaxy S series is going up against the iPhone...but the majority DON'T GIVE A TOSS about hardware (within reason) ANDROID need to get their act together and unveil something supreme this year!

Although I'd imagine this 1.4Ghz GS2 will have a bigger battery. :/
