[SGS3-R530M]BAKED Rom BlackBean-9 (6-27) [Unofficial]

So far, everything works that I can tell.
Checking programs now, will know if it had that issue with long pressing buttons after tomorrow.

Looks like a great release so far. Will report if I see anything...
But full data, text works just fine...

Anyone have a suggestion to try note that I have it running?

ive been hearing, ive been asking but not much i can do. this build is without the teams consent :/

Thanks. #7 was really screwy for me. & #8 now is doin great. I even have a phone signal with 8 now :D. & as for giving something w/o the team's consent? It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.;)

Awesome...
Everything works just a bit faster.
Native tethering works flawlessly.
Camera has new options.
My PlayStation emulator runs without hiccups.

Glad you are looking out for us Shabby!

Yyyyep, definitely way better than bb7 or 6. Smoother & quicker. Definitely a keeper. Shabby to the rescue once again

OK, weird thing.
When trying to type on any webpage, instead of bringing up the keyboard, it crashes.
Tried it in the base browser and in Dolphin, same results. Page loads, but when I tap to type in a box, crashes and back to home screen.
Anyone else able to reproduce this?

Update: Chrome works, just lacks a lot of the features I like in the blackbean stock browser.

Try chrome instead. I don't have any problems with it. Metro browser is ok, but still a lil sluggish

I've been having that happen to me too. :(

What are some of the features? The only thing I don't like about chrome is that it won't go full screen. But I think I saw a mod for it on xda developers

So, what would be the benefits of switching over from PACman?

I've been meaning to try out BB .. But with the fiasco of returning from PACman to stock to Metropolis and finally back to PACman .. I'm sick of redownloading everything lol .. but I want to find that truly awesome ROM.

Other than full screen, Flash works, there is the Quick Controls (can't stress this one enough), WebGL, easy to exit, it is faster than Chrome in my experience, opening tabs or bookmarks is much faster and easier to access, and when you bring up settings, there are plenty of things to set and customize. When I look at the Chrome settings, I find myself looking for another menu that has the rest of the options. If you like inverted rendering, you have it in the stock browser, but it wasn't a feature I used much. Just more of a curiosity to me.
Mostly, that is what I really like about the stock browser.
I do not think this issue is specifically about the browser though, since it happens with Dolphin and Dolphin Mini and those haven't changed. I uninstalled and reinstalled them just to check, same issue. It seems to crash only when you try to type in a box on a webpage.
Firefox works too, but also missing features and much slower than stock, Dolphin, and Chrome.

It really depends on how much you like and use the paranoid android features.
I tried one than Shabby did called King Kang for a while, but for my use, they were really more toys than features.
I switched back to BB6, then BB7, now BB8.
BB8 is not a phablet rom. If that is what you want/need, then you may not be excited about Blackbean. If it is a feature you can do with out, then I would definably recommend trying BB8.
Just make a backup of your current system, and if you aren't completely sold, restore it so you don't have to go back through the whole process again.

bb8 does have the option to go to phablet mode, lol but I don't remember where it's located cause I don't use it lol

My apologies then. I do not use that feature either.

No big deal lol. I didn't know about it either. Just stumbled across it last night while playing around.

On another subject, who knows about getting an app to work? Netflix isn't letting me logon. I switched ROMs to make sure it was all working & I've had no problems. Just on this one now. That's my only problem. I checked permissions too rw-r--r. & I even uninstalled & all that. That's a real killer cause I watch movies all the time when I'm out.

Wierd... I've been watching Netflix since the new version. Watched a couple of hours of it this morning alone.
You have a backup from something like Titanium Backup? Maybe a restore will work for you.

No I don't. But what I will do is go to the other rom & back it up there, & restore it here see if that works. I use rom toolbox pro

I have both. I didn't delete user data to ensure some of what I have setup didn't have to be setup again. So Netflix continued to work without trouble. I will do a rest in the future, but for now, I need to keep it intact.
I tried using the keyboard from BB7, still has same issue with browsers...

Lol, ok now I had the stock browser force close on me too. But chrome is workin just fine. That's too weird.

No sir. Have to do that in rom toolbox. But this is starting to fall apart now. Several app freezes, & mms not working right. Sending & getting crazy mssgs lol. That may be why shabby was hesitant to put it out, & the team didn't support it :-(

Could you be more specific so I could try to duplicate the results? Maybe we can nail down the cause, or at least narrow down the symptoms.
As far as the stock browser, it works for me until I try to enter in anything at a text box. Or a page that automatically jumps to the first text box, then it crashes.

Ahhh .. I thought I would be using it .. but nope, never touched it. Well, other than to get that annoying navbar gone xD
