dl 1.4 last night. No problems at all. But the boot animation from rom toolbox didn't work. No big deal. Will give this a real test tomorrow to & from work. Right now it's working fantastic. Don't know what the problem was with any of the 4.2 roms, but I was having signal problems with data cutting in & out.

but so far shabby everything is working like it should.....lol actually better. & as for your S3? I was under the impression that was a gift to you. Now if someone gives you a gift, don't you have the right to do with it what you want? Just my opinion

well yeah you have to reboot.... how else would you test a boot animation?? lol am i the only one who see's whats wrong here..? :P
 
Just installed 1.4.0 from stock rooted, everything works fine except I do not have root!

Supersu is installed but opening it gives me an error that the su binary is not installed and they can't be. Other super user apps won't work either. I tried running titanium backup and it could not detect root. The only thing that brings the supersu root premium window up is voodoo ota root keeper not it freezes when I chose restore root and when I go back to supersu I can see voodoo listed in the background while supersu is still telling me the su binaries are not installed and can't be. ..

S little help anyone? I need titanium working so I can restore!!

I had the same issue at boot. Just download su binary installer from market or reflash ROM without wiping .
 
Usually twrp after I'll flash the rom will say super user has not been installed do I wish to install and from there u just swipe the bar to the right and it installs root binary then reboots.

Couldn't find this "su binary installer" on the Market, Google searched it briefly and wasn't able to find that exact name as an APP/APK. I did reflash Metropolis WITHOUT wipe but still ran into the same issue. Can you elaborate on this su binary installer app?

I used CWM to flash. Maybe ill try to reflash using twrp and see how that goes.
 
Well I was able to figure it out, the solution is quite simple!

Just download the latest SuperSU flashable zip from here: SuperSU Download

And flash it with CWM or TWRP and voila! Good to go :) Root verified and all is well. Now to see what Metropolis is all about :)
 
Just installed 1.4. Only problem im having is i cant install alsa mixer. Could it be a problem with busybox? Also Local and Navigation is missing i know i could grab it from an older version of metropolis but how do i install it?
 
Haven't checked on navigation yet, but google maps latitude will be discontinued aug 9 according to google map settings
 
Thanks everyone i got the navigation and local sorted out. But i still need help with alsamixer. It wont install i tried to fix permissions and wiped caches and still no luck.
