Help SGS4 shuts down it self...

Mossawi

Lurker
I have this strange thing going on with my phone (SGS4). Yesterday my phone was still on 20%. I was watching a video on youtube, and my screen turned black, sound stopped. So I found out my phone shut itself down... when i waited.for like 10 minutes i started up my phone again, and the battery was at 1%.

Today the samething happened. I was using whatsapp and my.phone was at 39%. Again a black screen. Restarted my.phone and it was at 2%...

Does anyone knows what is going on or do I have to reset it? Thanks in advance.

Hello there and welcome Mossawi!
I moved your post here so others with your device can help out:)

How long have you had your device? i.e., how many charge/discharge cycles has it been thru?
The reason I ask is, if it is relatively new, perhaps it needs more charge/discharge cycles to correctly display what the remaining battery is. :)

Thanks Mikestony.

I have this phone since june 2013.
This problem just occured a few days ago.

When I got this phone, I fully charged my battery and made it reach 0% before I put it in the charger again.
