Help SGSIII-Black Screen

My GSIII can't get past a black screen. The notification light is blinking, and the Menu and Back lights illuminate when I press the Home button. I have done a battery pull, and can power the phone back on, but still just a black screen. The phone rings when someone calls, but no way to answer the phone. Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by "via hardware." Can you please explain in more detail? Thanks!

So when you power up the phone, how far does it go? Does it desplay anythin before going black?

Can you boot into recovery mode? (Pull battery then boot the phone by holding in Power, Home and Volume UP at same time)

PS have you rooted or done any kind of flashing? What did you do directly before this happened?

When the phone is powered back on, after the battery pull, I hear the US Cellular chime and that is all. The notification light is blinking because of missed calls, etc. the screen does not do anything except stay black.

I have not tried to boot into recovery mode by doing as you suggest. I will give that a try. I will let you all know if there is any success.

The phone has not been tampered with, or rooted, etc.

I called US Cellular and a replacement phone is on the way. So, I will be patient and wait.

probably best just to wait for a brand new phone if theyre gona give u one then
