Root Shabby's Loki'd Files

I think all this has gotten out of control.. Posts here threads there all for really nothing at this point... As of now the only thing that really flashes is shabbys kernel and cwm that still has its kinks. So really all of this is senseless at least for a few days...

the irony is amazing, how many threads have you made in the past month? :P

Original threads or about awareness many haha.... Right now there are about three or four threads with the same or misleading information is all I'm saying... And we really can't do too much with it at this very juncture.

well with teh kernel you can finally mod your phone a bit more. if i wasnt lazy i suppose i could work on cwm... but i will suggest something that shows how the cwm is actually useful...

1) use 2nd init make a nandroid
2) muck around with your phone
3) bootloops?!?!?! (normally youd have to unbrick)
4) boot into cwm
5) flash a stock rom or restore your nandroid
6) boot back up with data wiped
7) advanced restore from 2nd init

you just got all your data back and didnt have to unbrick. the best part is if you have all teh files on your device already you dont even need a computer...

once hroark gets home, req gets his spirit back from lg and pg stops farting around yalls cm will use a cm kernel, if any of them decide to work on overclocking i know the s4 chipset can hit 1.89ghz (thats what my sgs3 kernel hits at least :P ). i know what i posted isnt amazing or overwhelmingly awesome, it wasnt meant to be. loki had been ported no one was doing anything so i wanted to give yall a taste of what it means. i usually leave actual development to people who have the phone :P

Well, that escalated quickly :p

oh no please dont misunderstand, i was offering a suggestion on how it could be used as something useful for now. my apologies that i dont really want to spend a couple of hours working on a true custom kernel when in a week or so you guys will have plenty. i just wanted to show what you guys can do while you wait, my post wasnt trying to attack anyone or anything

No way shabs, you're the man for even taking the time to look into this for us. Big thanks bro! You can only spread yourself so thin right? Thanks for taking the time to work on any of this. Thanks to all the people that have done the work, and taken the time to dev this little beast. :)

i believe that only works on oudhs version

I think it's the one built into custom roms but you can also enter recovery by holding power down and alternating vol+ and vol-

Its the fix to the test 1.You still need to install the custom kernel. You still can't flash except with 2nd init. but as Shabby stated you can do a restore (rom or backup) from ext/sd and get into recovery from the hardware side so no more unbricking method.
