Hey, you guys that have the update - can you end a call with the power button, or anything other than that blasted finger-slide?

Awe man , ughh that's some bull! WTF livewallpapers are standard for 2.2 right ? And I know the transform can handle it because I've seen lower phones that can handle it and has it , oh well , :(

Also is there a way to non root but get live wallpapers?

Nope its not standard, i dont believe at least, just like flash isn't standard.
lol no theres non root way to get it.
You won't love them after you have it, it'll kill your battery way faster.
 
Uhhh iight then , Man this update needs to hurry up and come ! I keep checking my phone like every 2 seconds lol , . I'm getting annoyed , haha . . Will post it when I get it tho (year 3065) lmaoo
 
I'm in cali and there's no update here yet either... I'm just giving up and i'm going to be flashing it with the sdx version
 
I'm in cali also, but I'm not stock so i wouldn't have got it anyways lol.
Honestly with these phones, i believe rooting is unavoidable, so you minus well just learn it and you'll have a much better phone.
 
Lol I'm scared too root , might F up my phone , I'm one of those persons that wuld do that . I'm giving it till tommorow night for that notification to show up on my phone then that's it , instructions on how to root , here I come ! Lol
 
Ok, I got the 2.2.2 on my phone as of 11.35 PM (CST)

Runs a lot faster and smoother. Now why couldn't the phone have had this to begin with. :)

Odd, I have 3 transforms and it only came to mine. Still waiting on the other phones.
 
still waiting in FL. I got this phone on 10/10/2010 --- yeah. I have been working a lot, and thought it would come to my phone OTA, but obviously, it's not looking good with less than 20 hrs left in the 4 day cycle.

So THRILLED :rolleyes: for the people who have gotten their update just weeks after buying the phone while those who've had it for over 5 months are still waiting! HA... such is SPRINT!

Samsung - you certainly understand I will never buy another phone from y'all? Right? Hope so...

To those few who've gotten the update and have been waiting for months, Congrats, glad your suffering is over and the crappy glitches are a thing of the past finally!
 
aftefr the 4day push, anyone will be able to go into your settings and force the update manually with no need for a notification.
 
Just in case anyone was wondering, the phone will get the update over the Airave. I got my update early this morning, but still waiting on the other two transforms. I bought all the phones at the same time. Sept.

I read somewhere that downloading from the app store helps locate your phone to get the update out to you. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not, but the phone that got the update had downloaded apps earlier in the day.

I am dying to try out video calls... I hope my other phones get the update soon! I had tried it with 2.1 and it just wouldn't work, too choppy when it worked at all. I hope 2.2 has cleared this up. Anyone with 2.2 tried it yet?
 
Personally I'm done waiting for the OTA stuff so I did the 2.2 root. Just in the first few minutes of setting it back up and loading up Titanium Backup it's miles ahead of where this phone was. Worth the time and slight scare.
 
Couldnt wait any longer...drove to sprint store and had them upgrade.

They did wipe my phone, but contacts were still there.

So far
-phone seems a little snappier...but not like some people are touting
-Wifi hotspot incon, havent tried it
-battery seems to be holding a bit longer. start evey day on 100% and usally by noon it is down to 50% or lower. Today it was at 77%.
-new email options are nice. corporate email....
-no more gmail sync issues (finally)

other tahn that, seems to be same phone.
