Help Sharing videos

I hope I am posting this correctly because I am new to all this. I have a LG Connect and my only issue is I want to transfer my videos from my phone to my laptop but for the life of me I can not figure it out. I have a stock phone with the exception of being rooted. Please someone help me or point me in the right direction! I have so many videos I want to share

Okay well, first thing first. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cord(that cord that connects with the wall charger). A box should appear asking if you want to install the drives. Yes. When its done pull down the notification bar and select the option you see. Or if you want you can go to settings>Connectivity>Default Connection Mode>USB Mass Storage.
That should allow to boxes to pop up on your laptop. One is Internal the other is External. Internal is the memory that came with the phone(2Gbs) and External is the SD card(if you have one and its inside the phone). You can go to DCIM and that's where the video will be depending if you shot the video using the camera on the phone. If you downloaded a video then it should be on the downloads folder. Hope this helped you. :)

Or you could unmount you're SD card, then remove it and just put it in you're laptop and save the videos you want.

You would need a microSD > SD adapter of some sort, and have to deal with removing the battery cover, which would get annoying if you have an awesome case, like this one:
