Help shattered screen but everything works

I'm so confused

Some people say (including Samsung) I have to get the WHOLE part which is the screen plus the lcd - a lot of money $275

others say they can separate the screen from the lcd and it's only 100

what to do???

sadly no - I didn't even think about it and honestly I don't remember them offering it to me

My wife cracked her screen but the phone was still completely touch functional. Looked at a couple of options around town and on eBay. Finally went with an eBay option for screen replacement only. Ended up being $90 and took about a week's time total from shipping here to getting it back. Was a little nerve racking sending the phone away but in the end they appear to have done a good job after getting it back on Monday.
