Shift Calender ???

Hi,

My hubby works shifts 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off and he used to have a shift calender on iphone which was perfect, however we both have desire now and i'm trying to find a similar one. Ideally one where days are one colour nights are another and days off either neutral or another colour.


Anyone got any ideas, suggestions...anything at all?

Could set recurring all day events in a calander if you know Tue frequency.

Might be best posting this in the apps section.
 
I was after the same type of thing tbh, what I've done so far is created all day events on my google calender and synced the calender on the phone,

Ive done it manually, D N & O for my days nights off

now when I tap calendar on phone, I've set it to go to agenda and it lists my shifts... a bit long winded but its done for the year now.

and you can edit you entry as normal ..

Hasn't he got a Shift Planner? I've just scanned mine an resized it to fit the screen size of the Desire...
 
Here's what you do:

Get Google Calendar
Get Jorte (one of the best calendar apps)

In Google Calendar, click on the first day to which you want to add the event. Then, click on "Edit event details". On the new page, there is a dropdown box labeled "Repeats". Choose "Daily" and set the repeat to 8 days (per the schedule you posted). Change the rest as necessary (shift time or place). Do this for each of the days he works. You can set an end point if you know that his shifts will change at the end of the year (for example).

That should make a proper shift calendar. Jorte will then display it on the phone (really cool widgets).

p.s. A bonus with Google Calendars is that you both can share calendars, so you'll always know his shift schedule and vice versa.
