You don't actually need a door tag for a package release. Print out a note saying to leave it and sign it like something such as this:

"FEDEX,

Package #(Insert Tracking Number Here) is scheduled to arrive today, (Insert Date Here). If I am not here to receive it, I grant you, FedEx and Authorized Parties, permission to leave this package at my door and accept this note as full release and consent.

(Print name)
(Sign name and date)"

I have the same first 6 and got my shipping notification this morning. i ordered mine last sunday evening around 1130pm- eastern

Sometimes they will not leave the package still. If they deliver mine when they are supposed to I will be at work. And I didn't have it sent to my work because I have off Thursday so I was going to be home. Hopefully the driver accepts the note for mine since its their ass if the package gets taken and it isn't on one of their doortags they leave after a failed attempt.

I have never had trouble with them not leaving it. I make sure to make the "FEDEX" part in gigantic font and in a visible spot so it can't be missed. :D
 
I got my email shipped today the 25th for delivery on the 27th by 3PM EST. Our Fed EX usualy comes by noon. :D:D:D

I have gotten door tags and they usually will say the package will be at the FED EX facility after a certain time, and have just gone over to the facility after that time (same day) and picked it up. Usually it's like 6:00 or something. Just have to have photo id and the door tag.
 
I haven't received tracking information or anything, but it says that "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days."

So do you think that it'll actually arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday?!
 
I received my order processed message yesterday and just got my email for shipping.
It says they are sending it to me via FedEx 2-Day Service even though I used the free overnight code. Not sure why that happened but I can't complain that i'm getting it a day early...though it would have been nice to get it on Tuesday. :(
 
Same happened to me. Paid $8.99 for overnight shipping (ordered on the 19th) and they are shipping it 2Day. Still getting it a day early but I still paid for something they didn't give, called and they credited the $8.99. Ah well.
 


This is the FED EX Door Tag. Below is the explanations.

  1. Package delivered. Indicates where we placed your package, such as the front door or with a neighbor.
  2. Package not delivered. Explains why we were unable to deliver and what steps you can take. More information is provided on the back of the door tag. If a signature is required and the orange box is checked, sign your name here and we'll leave the package.
  3. Pick up your package. You can pick up your package by bringing the door tag and a government-issued photo ID to the FedEx location listed here.
  4. Additional delivery attempts. If you are unable to pick up the package, this section has details on our next delivery attempt.

Not saying they won't deliver if you leave a note and sign, date, etc. It has happened before to people I know as its at the drivers discretion on whether to accept that or not. I'm going to have to try my luck and see if the note works, if not i'll be getting mine thursday when i'm off of work.

I can say I was one of the first ones to order. I think the site put the phone, and 3-4 mins later I ordered mine.

I originally was going to have it deliver to my house, but my work has me on site that day and I can't stay home waiting for the package. I don't trust my neighbors, so I called Verizon using *611 and asked them if I could change the shipping address. I figured since it's Sunday things won't go out until tomorrow, so there's still time to re-route the package to my work address so my secretary can sign for it. The CSR updated the shipping address, but can't guarantee that FedEx will deliver it to my work. Has anyone else been successful with changing their shipping address? I guess we'll see on the 28th.

Not trying to be a downer but i doubt it works because in the order confirmation it says shipping address can not be changed
 
So, has anyone received the updated status/shipping notification that didn't order on the 18th or 19th? I still haven't pre-ordered because I was going to just pick one up on Thursday at Best Buy. Now I'm wondering if I can just pre-order and still have mine ship out tomorrow with everyone else's. :)
