Help Shoot me some ideas

So I just bought a Incredible on eBay it was a great deal, I already have a droid x so I wont be activating it and just using it as a alarm clack / mp3 player.

So I dont have the phone in hand yet its still being shipped, but in the description the previous owner stated that after an "update" he couldnt browse the web on 3G only wifi but every thing else works fine.

Granted I will mostly be using wifi, but what just encase if i want to use it as my daily driver phone i was going to see what you guys would suggest / have seen that at all.

If used SBF with motorola, and ODIN for Samsung is there an similar thing for HTC?

The HTC incredible uses RUUs and PB31IMG.zip files. They are self installing files that completely wipe and reinstall the OS. RUUs are ran from a windows PC, PB31IMG.zip files are placed directly on a SD card that is formatted to fat32 and loaded in the boot loader.
