Help Short battery life, running ics

I upgraded to ics as soon as I got the phone so I didn't really even know what the battery was like on the 2.3 gingerbread version.

I can use the phone none stop but it dies after 3 hours of continuous use? If I don't really use it, it will last a day. but the thing is I want to use it.

I've been looking to get the official Samsung extended battery pack but I don't know where to buy one from? I think this battery is a 2000mAh one which should hopefully improve the battery? I wish to pay less than

It could be that you have a rogue app that is badly integrated into ICS from Gingerbread, not uncommon... see here.

You could install BetterBatteryStats from the Play Store which is an excellent app for detecting what is using your battery.

I had the same problem with mine initially - I carried out a factory reset and that improved matters significantly.
