How to configure the phone icon on home screen to open keypad only

i dont think u can.. it opens up either the keypad or the log, depending on wat u left open..

Please can u tell me how to get the % sign in calculator

Turn the phone over to landscape while you have calculator open and it turns to scientific with a % function. Or better still look for an app in the market called "RealCalc" and forget about the standard calculator!
