I noticed today that part of the plastic piece that is inserted in the opening of the charging port on my D-inc has broken off.
Is there a way to replace it? Can that piece be purchased?
I don't know what your talking about. Is it on the plug or on the phone? If it's on the plug just buy a new microUSB cord. You can order them online for a like a dollar with shipping, or buy a new cord or charger for $10-20 from any store that sell's electronics. If it's on the phone, we'd have to know exactly what ia broken to help.

It is on the phone.
There is a plastic piece that sits inside the opening to the charging port. It is not part of the case of the phone, and can be seen easily with the case back off.
This link should bring you to a photo (not mine) of the phone with the case back off. The piece I am talking about is toward the lower right corner (the only black piece surrounded by red).

A small part of plastic has broken off of that piece. I am wondering if I should be concerned that because it is near the usb port that it will cause charging issues? Is this a warranty/insurance thing?

It is just a trim piece surrounding the Silver USB port.

Thanks for the response. I figured as much, but wanted to check the knowledge base.
I guess one thing I should add is that if the entire piece comes off, then you need to glue it back on or put something there as it helps to hold the USB port in place (strain relief). Without it, wiggling the USB port will eventually rip it out of the motherboard.
