Should I buy the DNA or wait for potential verizon HTC One?

Hi all, I am in the market to upgrade from iPhone 4S to an android phone on verizon. Currently I am most impressed with HTC Droid DNA and HTC One. Of course, who knows if verizon is going to get the HTC one at all. So my question is, should I upgrade to HTC Droid DNA now or wait for a potential HTC One?

These are my concerns with upgrading now:

-Low storage space on DNA. Why only 16 gb?

-Sense 4+ as opposed to 5.0 on the One. Will the DNA get sense 5? Is there a big difference? The greatest fear I have with android phones is that over time I will start to see keyboard lag...this drives me insane and it is what made me switch from OG droid to iphone in the first place.

-Front facing speakers on the One are nice, but not that huge of a deal really.

What are your thoughts? Should I upgrade or wait? I think the only other phone that would be a contender for me right now is a potential Nexus 4 with LTE, if it is announced at Google IO.
 
The DNA is a very capable phone and will remain that way for awhile, even after we see the next HTC phone on verizon. Which will be a HTC ONE or the rumored DNA 2 / Plus or whatever its called. Sense 5 from what Ive read has alot to do with preference. I know it added some things and might run a bit smoother, but I havent seen anything major that I am missing out on. I personally wouldnt ditch my DNA for a ONE as it currently sits. Now if they tweak it and make it more styled like the DNA, I could be swayed possibly. The front facing speakers is really the only thing I like about the ONE over DNA. Dont get me wrong, the ONE is a damn nice phone and if the DNA didnt exist, Id be all over it since I love HTC phones.

Id go look at one at a store if possible and try it out. You wont be experiencing lag issues with a DNA as its a very powerful phone to this day. I have no experience with Nexus 4 so I cant really comment about it since it wasnt possible to use on Verizon.

As for storage, thats gonna depend on what you use your phone for really. Can you make 16 gig work in the end. I personally have about 9 gig left and have put music on it just to try to burn up some space even though I rarely listen to anything on it. I dont store much on my phones other than a few albums of music. Beyond that, its standard apps. I could probably get away with 8 gig DNA without issue really. So for me, the space wasnt an issue at all.
 
I think the DNA is a great phone if you want something now. I've read a few comparisons of the One to the DNA, and a lot of them basically say that despite the One being better in the specs area, the only significant improvement is the front facing speakers. So if that's something you really want to wait for, go for it, if you'd rather have something now, the DNA is a good purchase.
 
If you think you can hold out for a while, I would probably wait to see what's in the pipeline in the next couple of months for Verizon. The galaxy s4 is the only good phone they've released so far this year, so I've got a feeling they'll be coming with something big from either Motorola or HTC in the coming months. If storage is a concern, you should know that only around 11gb of that storage is available to use out of the box after bloatware and the os, so if you store a lot of any kind of media locally this probably won't be the phone for you.
Also, this phone is a carrier exclusive, so updates may be hard to come by in the future. 4.2 is probably likely, but beyond that there's no guarantees. It's still a great phone, but at this point it probably wouldn't hurt to see what's next on Verizon.
 
Recently 4.2.2 leaked for the HTC Butterfly, and it had sense 5.1 along for the ride. Since the Butterfly is nearly the identical phone to the DNA, I think the prospects are good that the DNA will also get it.
 
Imo the htc one's development is going to be crazy, so that's a reason to get the one. About the only one I can think of too that's a major difference. But the DNA is pretty much free now so what do you have to lose?
 
I'm trying to decide this too. I will pay full price in order to keep my unlimited data, so I can pick up a used DNA now for $330 or wait for the One and pay double that. It seems like the One has the cool factor... And possibly more accessories, but other than that what am I missing if I just get a DNA? Big concerns for me are strong cell radios (able to hold a signal in weak areas) and a great camera.
 
Maybe DNA 2 won't have SIM card error,over and over and over.........this is the 2nd and started immediately after I got it
