Should I cancel my GSII order???

I've just got my Captivate mic working again so the phone is now usable... still has a few problems though:

- laggy especially since the 2.2 upgrade
- can't flash to stock... so I can't flash roms
- battery life is unpredictable
- random shutdowns if I don't use Captivate Keep Alive (which drains battery)
- no warranty because I bought it off ebay :(

I ordered a GSII from Clove and they have to wait for stock before they ship it to me. I am stretching my funds by buying it but I thought I NEEDED a new phone due the mic previously not working on my very frustrating Captivate. Now that it is I have to rethink this whole venture. Is the GSII really the phone that it's rumoured to be? I always love having the latest and greatest but maybe this isn't the right time for me to buy....

What would you do?:confused:
 
Your phone works, it makes calls and unless it is ABSOLUTELY essential in your life to have a 100% reliable phone, say for your job, then I would wait until funds become more readily available.

We have made due for many years without smartphones, they are still a luxury
 
Buy the phone. The SGS2 is the best around, but if money is a concern why not opt for a monthly contract? I bought mine sim free, so paid full whack. I have five kids and if funds run low I can always sell one....better to have this phone...imo :)

I agree with KValor, just wait until you can really afford it and no doubt the price will go down....:D

I'd keep the order and ebay the Captivate, for whatever you can get.
Just read the forums, there are teething problems and a few issues, but EVERYTHING else about the phone, simply trumps over the minor problems...
