Root Should i check unknown sources

So ti backup comes up with a popup that says i should enable the phone to run code from unknown sources.

is this a good idea? from a security point seems sketch....

i never saw that message, i have allow apps from unknown sources but that is so i can install the .apk file for some apps no onger in the market

oh yeah that's what it says.

that is fine to do, it just allows you to install apps not in the market, ie wireless tether
