should i do this update?

just got an eris and got a notification that i need to do an update...i read on here that people have lost youTube ability with an update(is this the one?), everything is working pretty well, so is there a good reason to do it or should i just keep putting it off until someone has good news about youtube?

my phone says it has software version 1.16.605 in the about phone screen, firmware version 1.5
