Root Should I root beforehand?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to flash the Sharp ROM to my Triumph soon. But I was wondering, should I root before flashing it? I looked at the thread and it says that root access is already included. Is it possible for me to just flash CWM and then install the rom? also, I used ROM manager to install CWM on my Optimus V. I'm assuming this won't work for the MT? thanks.

You can just install CWM and then flash the ROM, you don't need to root beforehand.

In our case it makes more sense to install recovery and then do a backup before root. Not that I have seen any issues why rooting but I think most people think they need root first is because of Rom Manager needing root access to flash CWR on other devices but since we don't flash recovery via Rom Manager there is really no need to root first.

Is definitly very easy to root the Triumph. Remember when I got my Triumph I was actually scared to death to do anything with it until I read b_randon14's sudo method and just had to do it. Is still probably the coolest find for our device. All the developers at my job freaked out when I showed them sudo was on my phone.
