Root Should I Root?

I am quite new to the rooting world of android and don't know many techy words

Anyway, I want to know whether I should root or not , here are my questions

1) Do you get free apps like jail breaking an iphone?
2) Will this void your warranty/insurance ?
3) How easy is it to root?
4) How easy is it to unroot?
5) Is it illegal
6) Will i still be able to get OTA updates?

1) Do you get free apps like jail breaking an iphone? No but you get more control over your phone

2) Will this void your warranty/insurance ? It will if you can't put it back how it was before.

3) How easy is it to root? Its relatively easy, plenty of guides on here

4) How easy is it to unroot? If you can get the RUU file with your phones branding on, very. This also is useful for question 2). You can also put generic on which will unroot.

5) Is it illegal No

6) Will i still be able to get OTA updates? depends if you are running a custom rom or a rooted stock one. You may need a goldcard to download if rooted (not sure on this), but no updates on custom roms.
