A Droid X or a Droid X2?
If it's a Droid X, then aside from Camera & lower memory, i dont see how this is a downgrade from the Droid X.
I own a Droid Charge and Xperia Play...Although I may be selling them both on Ebay/Craigslist as Android is boring me and I may jump back over to Windows Phone 7
Anywhoo...
My Xperia Play is excellent. It's a great conversation starter, especially guys.
I was at a bar waiting for a friend to meet up with and I was bored and playing Bruce Lee and three gentlemen walked up to me and were wowed that
A) A girl can know so much about tech/electronics
B) and the fact I was kicking booty lol
It is a great device.
Camera:
I've owned 8 megapixel camera(Sony Xperia X10, HTC Evo, and Droid X)
TBH, aside from the Xperia X10's camera....the Xperia Play has a great camera compared to the other too.
HTC's camera are often dull and uninspiring(I've owned an Eris, Evo, Mytouch 4g, HTC HD7, HTC hD2, and an Aria).
Motorola's cameras are great except they tend to have more noise(I've owned an OG Droid, A Motorola Backflip, A Droid X and a Motorola Cliq 2).
Sony makes excellent cameras and it doesn't matter if it is 5 megapixels are 8.1 like sony is known for, the camera is great to me.
Compared to other 5 megapixels i have owned....My vibrant, My captivate and my Droid Charge, the Xperia Play is what i use to take pics be it for facebook or events with friends...it's great
Speed:
Ummm...It's not a dual-core but it's not slow either. I've never owned a dual core device and to be honest, I don't care too.
If i ever do...Great but I am quite content with the Single Core 1ghz processors in my phone.
I tell a lot of my guy friends who are enthusiasts that they demand Bigger screens and faster processors...they must be overcompensating for something lol.
I have lag...But this is android and I expect lag because that is just what Android does to me. It lags...But the processor helps minimize the lag.
Memory:
Some people complain about it having low memory storage but tbh, I have a lot of apps and games on my phone and I have yet to run too low when it comes to the memory. I still have plenty of space for more apps and games.
The only flaw in this phone is the lack of timescape...I hate stock android, i prefer timescape.
It's a great device.
I've owned a Droid X and i have to say
Xperia Play > Droid X
