I have to take my hero to a repair store today to get my dust problem taken care of. Should I unroot or just make the theme stock?

It would probably be just as hard to set it back to stock themes as it would to flash the stock RUU. And it would be a safer bet, to avoid voiding your warranty.

you could simply make a nandroid backup of what you have now, save that to your computer and SD card, then flash back to stock. When you get it back home, restore your backup, and you'll be golden.

You know I am trying to unroot mine because it is going back to sprint and I already have my new one. But its not working, saying my phone is not connected to the computer..... ANy ideas?

Try mounting it, with the notification bar on your phone after u are connected with a usb cable
