Root Should I update NOW??? (post root and tether)

I got the DC a few days ago, and didn't do the update that popped up since I planed on rooting and tethering to my tablet. Well now that is all done, (using Barnacle, not Verizon's service), so should I do the update now? What about future updates?

Well if you did the rooting as explained by the members here even if you click update to ED2 you will still be on ED1 and you need root to use barnicle

I was just wandering if I did the ED2 update, would it overwrite any of the things I did to root and change the adhoc in order for barnacle to work? I have everything working nicely, and I didn't want to chance messing it up. The main reason I ask it that it would be nice to quit seeing the ED2 update notifications.

No.for instance i rooted doing all the steps i found here such as: Odin to ed1, rooted using gingerbreak, entered the code to block ed2 using terminal emulator then pushed update for ed2 and still on ed1 after update and still rooted so if you just follwed all the steps provided in the threads for rooting you will not mess anything up when you click to update to get rid of that annoying message.
