Help Should I update to 4.1.2? Any issues?

Worried about battery drain. Also, what is SDS and should I be worried? Apparently this affected lots of Note 2's?

What carrier are you on? Thats a pretty important piece of info. I'm on TMO and upgraded to 4.1.2 and while on wifi, my battery life is great. While off wifi my battery depletes faster than before the update unfortunately but not as terrible as my coworker. He is on the sprint network and can't go past 5hrs before the phone dies. I have mine set to 4g only (lte radio disabled) and my battery life is no different than if having that radio enabled. I had decided to try this to see if maybe having lte on was the cause of the faster than normal drain.

I love the fact the I can customize the toggles on my drop down screen and that the lte channel has been unlocked.

I have noticed that after the update, I'm mostly on HSPDA 9 as apposed to before when I was on HSPAP 15 most of the time and as a result my speed tests come in slower now.

Yeah I'm on 4.1.2 now for tmobile battery life really takes a hit buy I'm not sure why. Upgrades should increase battery life and performance not decrease it.

That is what worries me. My battery life is outstanding on 4.1.1 and I can use my phone heavily with no worries about drain. Im on the unlocked international model without 4g. I think ill stay with 4.1.1 unless I hear theyve fixed the battery drain issues.

if you do a back up and reset it remedies this. I had similar problems, battery life was down to eight hours max, then i found the solution on youtube and now its in full swing upwards of 20 hours.

The only issue I have is that occasionally the screen auto rotate will stop working. It is a known issue though. I just have to bring up something with keyboard input and it will start rotate again. It happens about once a week and I am not sure what triggers it.

I'm on 4.1.2 and my battery life is good. I can usually get a full day on a full charge. I'm also connected to WiFi most of the time so the battery doesn't drain as fast trying to connect to LTE (which I don't have in the town I live in, I can go 5 miles south and pick up LTE but not in my town... too rural I guess)

I've noticed that this happens a lot when the room I'm in is dark and the Smart Stay/Rotate can't figure out what way my face is looking. If the front facing camera and light sensors can't see you, it can't keep the screen rotated the right way.
