After hearing all of the problems i'm a little hesitant in updating. In your opinion was it worth it or if you had to do it over again would you hold off? What issues are YOU experiencing?

My question to you is.Are you rooted? If so are wiling to loose ur rooting privileges? If your not rooted I'll say u root now and flash any 2.2 ROM of your choice and you'll be good to go.Most of the peopple that as of now are experiencing problems with Froyo is because of the OTA released by Sprint.

I've updated to Froyo last night. I know I previously said I'd wait a week, but just can't resist. I haven't seen any issues except that all my playlists doesn't have songs in them. It would take about 3 days to add all my songs in their corresponding playlists... *SIGH*

LOL I totally agree. I was going to wait longer. After reading all these issues, I'm not going to bother. My 2.1 is doing damn good on it's own.

So is mine. It is exactly how I want it. I don't really care about full flash on my phone. I'm not trying to replace a computer, nor do I even do hardcore web surfing like that to require it. Flash Lite is just fine for me. Smooth scrolling on websites FTW!

I had no problems with my update.
There are pages and pages of opinions, facts, and reviews of this 2.2 update, telling the ins and outs, good points, bad points, and the difference in the rooted install, vs stock rom install.
As for you updating or not, that is your call to make.
Asking for more opinions at this point will only confuse you more, in my opinion.

I would venture to say most people had no problem at all...there are hundreds of thousands of EVOs out there...maybe dozens that are posting problems here. I upgraded with the un-official upgrade last week and had only one minor thing. I have never had to hard reset my phone yet.

I really think the issues are related to how many apps you have and which ones they are.

But, it's up to each individual to decide...if you don't have the time to fiddle with something going wrong...or the thought that you may have to hard reset your EVO and set it all up again, then wait until you have the time. Nobody has to do this until they are ready. The OTA will be there waiting.

ATM my screen unlocker lags. when i play music it "skips" when i'm using my phone. its not scrolling as smooth as it did. i did a hard reset and it will was there. not sure on how to fix it. i suggest rooting getting 2.2, if it doesnt work for you. go back to 2.1. Gonna root myslef if HTC doesnt fix the problem soon.

If you're rooted, no. If not, and you don't want to root anytime soon...go for it.

It's entirely possible to flash the update and keep root. Just check the Root subforum.

As far as the OP, I've had NO bugs and see a great increase in speed and my battery life has improved significantly. I'm very happy with it.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. No issues, web browser feels so much snappier. Chrome to Phone is incredible. I can't think of any reason (other than root related) that would prevent me from doing it again.
