i have had my thunderbolt since the beginning..have had no reboots,no problems at all with the phone..ive never done any updates...the question i have is should i do the recent update?? any help would be appreciated..

Most folks who had no issues with the phone have done the update with no reported problems after the update...at least that is what I've seen in different forums. If your phone has not prompted you for it, you can probably wait.

I wasn't having any problems prior to the update including no reboots. After installing the update, I have no 4G.

I'm one of only a few people reporting this issue but thought you should have all the facts.

The update gives you the option to turn off 4G. Check Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode and make sure you're on LTE/CDMA. The option to have CDMA only is new and helps a lot with battery life when you're not in a 4G area.

I did not do the prior update and have never had any issues. I decided to go ahead and do this one and have not had any problems.
I downloaded on 1x and after had only 3G. I have the LTE on/off app and went in and manually switched it to 4G only, which worked fine, then I switched it back to auto and it has worked without problems since.
I did lose the hotspot though, but don't hardly ever use it so really don't care about that. I'm would think they will kill it for everybody soon anyway.
