Help Should I upgrade to jelly bean?

Im currently still using Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread as I was worried upgrading would reduce battery life + make some apps not function, but I was wondering what people think about the latest android version and whether or not I should upgrade to it?

In my view the upgrade from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich was a great improvement.
The further upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jellybean has been somewhat of a disappointment as it seems to be a bit of a memory hog and not a great improvement.
